Crafty Travels & We <3 Pets!
July's already shaping up to be a fun-filled month on CRAFT. In addition to our summer series, CRAFT Summer Camp, we'll be spotlighting the world of crafty travel as well as projects for our favorite animal friends. For the first half of the month, learn how to make travel accessories, read up on crafty traveling tips, and visit the world through crafty eyes. Whether you're heading overseas or having a staycation at home, there's a vacation-related project for everyone. Today's first travel-inspired how-to is a virtual trip to Italy as Katie Goodman of goodLife {eats} shows us how to make homemade gelato!
And for the last half of the month, We <3 Pets! We'll show you how to give your pets some crafty love with projects including making pet collars, birdie potpourri, natural flea repellant, and lots more! We'd also love to see what you're making for *your* pets too, so drop us a line through our submission form.

SINGER® Sewing Company and CRAFT are excited to present a contest for all you seamstresses and seamsters basking in the glow of summer. Yes, it's finally summer! This is your chance to show off your spin on beachwear. For a six week period, crafters can submit pictures of their homemade swimsuit cover-ups (must be a sewn garment) to the Flickr group called The Swimsuit Cover-up Contest
. The Grand Prize winner’s project will be featured on the SINGER® website and promoted in an ad on Craftzine.com. The Grand Prize winner will also receive one SINGER® Fashion Mate 7256 Sewing Machine. Three runners-up will receive a SINGER® dress form and a $25 Maker Shed Gift Certificate. You can enter up to 3 cover-ups! Hurry, the deadline is July 16th.

Crafty Chica and CRAFT are excited to present a contest for all you crafty beachgoers this summer. It's the first Crafty Chica Challenge!
